Three fillies left in the German Oaks

In 2006 Graf und Grafin Stauffenberg bred three fillies at their Schlossgut Itlingen - CENT CHEVEUX BLANC (Pentire-Centaine), FAIT ACCOMPLI (Bering-Fantastic Flame) and LA REINE NOIR (Rainbow Quest-La Felicita).
FAIT ACCOMPLI, a sister to Gr.3 winner INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS (racing in GB as BAHAMIAN DANCER) was sold at the BBAG Yearling Sale to Gestut Hofgut Mappen and is in training with John Hammond in France.
CENT CHEVEUX BLANC, a sister to Stakes winner CLIFFROSE and Gr.3 winner CALRISSIAN was retained and is in training with German trainer rookie Waldemar Hickst.
LA REINE NOIR, a sister to Gr.3 winner LUCIDOR and Gr.1 winner and Championfilly LADY MARIAN is in training with Erika Maeder. All three of them were left in the Preis der Diana - German Oaks, Gr.1.
Last year LADY MARIAN, bred by Graf und Grafin Stauffenberg at their Schlossgut Itlingen, was just caught on the line. Is there a chance to better that result in 2009?

It is quite a few years ago, that the colours "champagne, bordeaux" were carried to a victory in the German Oaks. CENTAINE (left, against Tascilla and Anna Domani) won the race in 1995 and QUE BELLE (right, against Borgia and Enigma) followed in 1997. Both fillies had been purchased as yearlings and both were trained by Harro Remmert and riddden by Kevin Woodburn. To win the race with a homebred would fulfill a long lived dream.
