The team of STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK had 3 yearlings prepared for the Tattersalls October Sales Book I, what is now regarded as the world's leading yearling sale. All three of them were pinhooked as foals and all returned a healthy profit to the members of the syndicate. Lot 20 a filly by INVINCIBLE SPIRIT out of DUTCH DIAMOND was sold to Roger Varian who acted on behalf of Sheikh Obaid al Maktoum. Lot 189 a colt by TEOFILO out of MAYONGA sold for GNS105.000 to Blandford Bloodstock, who acted on behalf of trainer George Baker. The last yearling of the consignment was Lot 456 a colt by DAWN APPROACH out of ANNA'S ROCK, who sold to Peter & Ross Doyle on behalf of Al Shaqab Racing. With an Average of GNS226.667 was STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK again among the 15 leading consignors selling three or more yearlings.
