07/06/20 Belle Anglaise finished 3rd in a Listed in Hannover at her 1st start of the season ...

The 3yo filly BELLE ANGLAISE (Cable Bay-BELLE ALLEMANDE) finished 3rd in a Listed Race over 1.400m against the elders at Hannover, which was her first start of the season as well. She was back in training with Stuart Williams after her winter break, but had been moved to Hans-Jurgen Groschel due to the lockdown in England. It was a very promising debut for the year against a field of 12 who mainly had run already. She was already in front and just got caught before the finishing line, so a return to 1.200m will hopefully help her to achieve big blacktyped.

BELLE ANGLAISE was purchased as a foal by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at the Tattersalls December Foal Sales for GNS10.000 and missed the intended yearling sales appointment. She is the only horse Graf and Grafin Stauffenberg have in training for this year. She won twice in England as a 2yo when in the care of Stuart Williams.

Marion and Philipp, who breed and race under Graf and Grafin Stauffenberg, bred BELLE ALLEMANDE, the dam of BELLE ANGLAISE, but sold her as a yearling.
