A perfect start for his new connections and another pleasing success for our BBAG graduate
ABACUS made a winning debut for his new connections when landing the Preis der Pferdeklinik Parsdorf – BBAG Auktionsrennen at Munich, providing another fine result for STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK. The three-year-old son of TEOFILO carried the colours of Stall Stars & Friends II to victory on his first start for trainer Henk Grewe.
Ridden by Thore Hammer-Hansen, ABACUS took command inside the final 300 metres of the 2,200-metre contest and stayed on well to score by three quarters of a length, earning €19,000 and recording the second victory of his career. It was an encouraging start to this new chapter for a colt who continues to show a determined attitude on the racecourse.
ABACUS was prepared by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at their farm at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN before being consigned and sold at the BBAG Yearling Sale.
Congratulations to Stall Stars & Friends II, Henk Grewe and his team, Thore Hammer-Hansen and everyone connected with ABACUS. We look forward to following his progress.
